Plate IV · Celcelutiye and Sufi Breath

Celcelutiye is a devotional poem containing divine names, traditionally attributed to Ali ibn Abi Talib. At the academy, it is approached through reading, reflection and remembrance with breath.

The practice has been guided by Gül Mayadağlı since 2020. Online classes come first, followed by an in-person retreat lasting several days in nature.

In Sufism, breath means more than respiration. The Khwajagan principle of hûş der dem speaks of awareness in every breath. The Celcelutiye practice draws inspiration from this perspective.

These practices are for personal awareness and do not replace medical assessment. Before joining, read the “Before you join” section on the School page.
